Thousands of demonstrators gathered in Washington DC to protest against Donald Trump in fury as became the President of the US.
American documentary filmmaker and author Michael Moore spoke out to thousands of people in the countries capital.
In his eccentric tirade the furious 62-year-old writer called for the demonstrators to take over Democrat party to combat the Republicans.
In his speech he said: “We have to take over the Democrat party.
“God bless the Democrats who fought with us, who have done so many good things, it’s no knock on them.
“Twice in 16 years my friend, we’ve won, and then lost.
“We’ve let this happen twice now in 16 years. When we win the White House, they walk through the door.
“Are you going to let this happen again in your lifetime? I’m not!
“I’m sorry but the old guard of the Democratic Party has to go. It has to go.
“We need new leadership, we need young leadership. We need women leadership, we need people of colour. We need gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender.”
He then went on a stunning rant telling a story about how he was granted a place on his local school board aged just 18, and shouted: “I only had two dates at high school!”
The demonstration in Washington DC has been matched by hundreds of marches which have taken place all over the globe against President Trump in fears over his potential policies.
Demonstrations have taken place all over the world including in Australia, New Zealand, Netherlands, UK, France and in Mexico, as well as many more.
Protests have followed the Women’s March in Washington who highlight women’s rights which they believe to be under threat under the new US administration.
It has been reported that around 700 marches were planned on Saturday across the planet.
Michael Moore finished: “I woke up this morning, picked up the Washington Post and the headline read ‘Trump takes power’, I don’t think so, here’s the power, here’s the majority of America, right here.”
